Worldwide Internet users pass 1 Billion

The milestone was passed in December, there are now more than 1 Billion people, over the age of 15, using the internet at home or work. Google reaches over 77% of this audience, with Microsoft sites coming second with 64.2% and Yahoo reaching 55.8%
Growth is expected to continue to grow explosively as South America, which is currently under-represented takes up internet access.
